The Jamestown Press reports that the Town Council of Jamestown, R.I., has filed a letter with the U.S. Coast Guard in opposition to the planned Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal. Referring to navigational and security data recently made available by Weaver’s Cove LNG, the Town Council argues “that the proposed project poses unacceptable risks from the standpoint of navigational safety, environmental quality, and bay security.”
