Massachusetts officials are in discussions with Excelerate Energy and Suez Energy over when to release a portion of the $47 million financial package to local fishermen as compensation for the potential adverse impacts caused by the companies’ respective LNG projects near Gloucester, Mass. “We understand the need for immediate funding for certain people, especially the fishermen,” said Julie Vitek, a spokesperson for Suez.
