Concerned Lobstermen Meet with Quoddy Bay Officials

Members of the Cobscook Bay Fishermen’s Association met with Quoddy Bay LNG officials last week to discuss the route that LNG vessels may take through long-established lobster fishing grounds. The two sides discussed possible changes to the route and other proposals to make LNG vessel transit less worrisome to local fishermen. The meeting occurred in the wake of two fishermen’s groups’ recently announced opposition to the proposed Downeast LNG terminal. The Bangor Daily News has more information.
