The Maritime Administration has issued a Deepwater Port License for Neptune LNG LLC’s terminal proposed for off the coast of Gloucester, Mass. “I conclude that the construction and operation of the Neptune deepwater port will be in the national interest and consistent with national security and other national policy goals and objectives, including energy sufficiency and environmental quality,” said Maritime Administrator Sean T. Connaughton. According to a press release issued yesterday by Neptune LNG, current plans call for the facility to provide between 400 and 750 MMcf/d of natural gas.
