Columbia River Pilots Say LNG Transit Can Be Safe

In an article published by The Daily News (Longview, Wash.), Columbia River Bar Pilot Capt. Robert Johnson shares his first-hand experience aboard an LNG vessel as it transited through Boston Harbor to the Distrigas LNG terminal. According to the publication, the excursion in October was part of an effort undertaken by Johnson and two other pilots to research navigation tools and techniques for safely maneuvering LNG vessels up the Columbia River.
