The Associated Press reports that Perry, Maine residents will decide next month whether to accept Quoddy Bay LNG’s $3.6 million per year financial incentives package to facilitate the construction of its LNG storage tanks. Under the proposed 25-year deal, the annual package would include $300,000 for the cost of local emergency response services. Additionally, the company would make a one-time donation of $1 million to finance school renovations and equipment. The AP article is carried via The Portland Press Herald.
