AES Corp.’s project director expressed his approval for a recent ruling that a local ordinance blocking AES’ proposed Sparrows Point LNG terminal is unenforceable. “The court recognized the important role the county has in the review process but determined that the final decision was not the county’s to make,” said Kent Morton, whose company has proposed developing the Sparrows Point terminal in Baltimore County. Morton concluded that the project will provide jobs and revenue for Marylanders. The letter is carried in The Baltimore Sun.
