Harbor Commissioners Terminate Environmental Review of Proposed Long Beach Terminal
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners yesterday voted to halt an environmental review of Sound Energy Solutions’ proposed LNG terminal. The decision may prevent the terminal from leasing the intended project site in the Port of Long Beach. An executive with Sound Energy Solutions said, “We’re surprised because we had restarted negotiations with the city on financial matters last week. We assumed things were going through a normal environmental review process.” The Los Angeles Times provides further coverage.
