Film Points to 1969 Oil Spill as Evidence Against Cabrillo Port LNG Proposal
A documentary set to air tonight at the Public Library in Oxnard, Calif., says damage stemming from a 1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara, Calif., illustrates how human error can cause significant adverse effects on the environment regardless of assurances given by developers. The video draws a parallel to assurances prior to the 1969 spill and assurances from BHP Billiton regarding its proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal.
