California Congressman Requests Analysis Supporting EPA’s Decision Regarding Cabrillo Port
Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-CA), Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has asked the Environmental Protection Agency to provide the analysis that influenced the agency’s 2005 decision to reverse its position on the applicability of Ventura County’s air quality permitting requirements to BHP Billiton’s proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal offshore California. Waxman’s Jan. 16 letter is available on the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform’s website. The Malibu Times provides local coverage.
