Accuracy of Broadwater Poll Questioned
Newsday reports that a poll sponsored by Broadwater Energy to gauge public interest in its proposed LNG terminal in Long Island Sound is being criticized as biased. “I have definite concerns about [the poll’s] validity based on certain biases that intruded into the wording of the questions,” said a professor of sociology at Hunter College interviewed for the story. Broadwater’s senior vice president expressed confidence in the poll results, which depict an increase in public support for the project.
