The Regnum News Agency reports that Gazprom remains open to participation by foreign companies in the development of its Shtokman natural gas field, despite its initial decision to develop the field without foreign assistance. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, “the subject is not closed yet [and] can be considered again in case we receive interesting proposals from foreign partners.”
