Permits Issued for Proposed Sonora Pacific LNG Terminal

El Paso Corp. announced that the Mexican Federal Ministry of the Environmental and Natural Resources and the National Forest Commission have issued environmental permits for the proposed Sonora Pacific LNG terminal and its associated pipeline, which El Paso is developing with its subsidiary, DKRW Energy LLC.  According to MarketWatch, construction of the terminal is on hold until a supply source is identified. “We’re in the market right now but we cannot provide an estimated timeframe,” said Bruce Connery, an El Paso vice president.
