The Herald News reports that opponents of the Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal plan to appeal the U.S. Department of Transportation’s decision not to adopt safety requirements affecting the location of LNG facilities. Fall River city officials contend that uniform safety standards are required by the Pipeline Safety Act of 1979.
