Stephen Murphy, chairman of Boston City Council’s Public Safety Committee, will hold a public hearing today to discuss the potential safety risks associated with LNG vessel transit in Boston Harbor. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has determined that the port is safe, which has decreased Boston Harbor’s federal funding for security, according to Murphy. The Boston Herald has the story.
