FERC Extends Deadline for Completion of Port Arthur LNG Project
FERC has granted Port Arthur LNG, L.P.’s request to extend the deadlines for the construction of Port Aurthur LNG’s terminal in Texas. Port Arthur LNG now has until June 19, 2011, to finish Phase I of the project, which involves the construction of three LNG storage tanks and one segment of the terminal’s associated pipeline. FERC also extended to June 19, 2014, the deadline for completing Phase II, which includes the construction of three additional LNG storage tanks and an additional interconnecting pipeline.
