Oregon Appellate Court Upholds Zoning Change
The Oregon Court of Appeals last week rejected an appeal of the city of Warrenton’s decision to rezone land to accommodate Skipanon Natural Gas’ proposed LNG terminal. The People for Responsible Prosperity and Columbia Riverkeeper had unsuccessfully appealed Warrenton’s rezoning order to the state’s Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) in March, claiming that the city had insufficiently examined the terminal’s potential local impacts. The court’s decision, issued last week without an opinion, upholds the earlier decisions in favor of the zoning change. An Associated Press article covering the decision is carried via The Oregonian.
