AES’ proposed Sparrows Point LNG terminal would necessitate additional emergency responders and firefighting equipment that Baltimore County does not have, according Robert G. Muth, the county’s director of the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Speaking before members of Maryland’s state-commissioned LNG task force yesterday, Muth also noted that current data on LNG accidents accidents is derived from models rather than actual spills.
