Galveston City and Wharves Board of Trustees Disagree on Legal Fees

At yesterday’s Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees meeting, the board resisted a request from the City of Galveston to pay legal bills associated with litigation involving the Pelican Island LNG terminal.  The Wharves Board decided not to act on a $62,592 invoice from the city for legal fees charged during the dispute regarding whether the Wharves Board followed proper procedure in the early stages of the approval process.  BP halted its development on Pelican Island in August.  Galveston County Daily News has the story.
