Platts LNG Daily reports that Seafarer US Pipeline System, Inc. has withdrawn its application to build a natural gas pipeline from the Bahamas to Florida. [Subscription required]. According to a letter submitted yesterday to FERC, regulatory unpredictability in the Bahamas coupled with difficulty in securing LNG supply led to the cancellation of the Seafarer project, sponsored by El Paso and FPL Group Resources.
