Critics Voice Opposition Against Proposed Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline
A proposal to build a 225-mile pipeline across southwest Oregon to facilitate natural gas imports would threaten local properties and the environment, project opponents said during a meeting on Thursday. Rory Cox, California program director for Pacific Environment, stated that the Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline, which is associated with the proposed Jordan Cove LNGterminal, is unnecessary because of sufficient domestic natural gas supply and reduced demand resulting from energy conservation efforts.
