Coalition Supports LNG Infrastructure Development in Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Affordable Reliable Electricity Alliance, a coalition of energy companies, businesses and labor groups, is calling for the approval of at least one LNG project proposed for Massachusetts. The coalition contends that siting an LNG terminal in Massachusetts will help offset decreasing domestic natural gas supplies and increasing demand for natural gas by power plants in New England and Canada. The coalition has released a report entitled “A Primer on Liquefied Natural Gas in Massachusetts” supporting its position. SNL Interactive has the story.
