Bradwood Landing Terminal May Impact Local Salmon Population

Last week NorthernStar Natural Gas LLC filed a biological assessment with FERC regarding its proposed Bradwood Landing LNG terminal in response to a FERC Staff environmental information request.  According to the assessment, the terminal is “likely to adversely affect” various species  of salmon in the Columbia River.  In order to mitigate the terminal’s potential impact, NorthernStar has proposed to invest in a Salmon Enhancement Initiative to ensure the viability of the local salmon population.  The biological assessment may be found in the FERC e-Library in Docket No. CP06-365.  The Daily Astorian provides local coverage.
