Response to Unattended Rental Truck at Everett LNG Terminal
Massachusetts state and local police have found no security threat after responding Saturday night to reports of an unattended rental truck parked near the Distrigas LNG terminal in Everett, Mass. The incident comes about a week before local emergency personnel’s Sept. 17 homeland security drill, which will involve a staged threat against the LNG terminal. “This is a good dry run,” said Everett Police Sergeant Sabatino Rozza. Distrigas spokesperson Julie Vitek added, “[T]his incident is a great example” of the facility’s security response.
