FERC: Scheduling Order for Bradwood Landing Premature
In a Sept. 7 letter to the developers of the proposed Bradwood Landing LNG terminal, FERC declined to establish a schedule imposing deadlines for required federal authorizations. Instead, the Commission indicated that NorthernStar Energy LLC and Bradwood Landing LLC must satisfy outstanding information requests from FERC and the U.S. Coast Guard, and must file necessary permit applications with the Army Corps and the relevant Oregon and Washington environmental agencies. The letter may be found in the FERC e-Library in Docket No. CP06-365.
The Daily Astorian provides local coverage of the development, after some Oregon officials and residents suggested that the scheduling request was an attempt to bypass local land use requirements. Bradwood executive vice president Gary Coppedge told the paper that the data requested in FERC’s letter will be submitted in late September or early October.
