Energy Industry Representatives Urge New Pipeline Construction from Texas to Markets
Future LNG shipments are likely to target import terminals near the Texas-Louisiana border due to a lack of natural gas transmission lines from the western coast of Texas to the market areas, according to energy industry representatives who spoke last week during Platts’ Pipeline Development and Expansion Conference in Houston. They also said that unless new pipeline infrastructure is built, Texas producers also may face difficulties in getting supplies to high-demand markets.
