U.S. Embassy Supports Bahamian LNG Terminal

Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Nassau, Dr. Brent Hardt, said in a radio interview August 20 that he supports siting an LNG terminal in the Bahamas. “There would be a steady flow of resources to the government that can be used for a variety of good purposes,” he said, adding that while every industry presents environmental risks, LNG does not present “extraordinary environmental risks.” The Bahama Journal has the story.
