BP Pipeline Damage in AK Prompts Criticism Over Crown Landing
Opponents of BP’s proposed Crown Landing LNG terminal in Logan Township, N. J., are citing the recent pipeline integrity problems with BP’s oil pipeline in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, as another reason to question the project’s potential safety and environmental impacts. However, BP’s Crown Landing spokesperson Tom Mueller dismissed the criticism from local environmentalists. “I don’t believe recent high-profile incidents will impact our plans here, other than to make the facility even safer by incorporating past learnings into our operations here,” Mueller said in a statement. The Gloucester County Times reports on local reaction to the incident.
