Lloyd’s List today reports that the United States supports Russian investment in U.S. energy assets, particularly LNG projects. “This is a long-term destination for their product (LNG) and their investment,” Karen Harbert, assistant energy secretary for policy and international affairs, said on Thursday at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Harbert’s remarks came in advance of the G8 summit, which is scheduled to take place July 15 – 17 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
