Op-ed: New LNG Projects Would Supplement Everett LNG Terminal

Julie A. Vitek, director of external affairs for Distrigas of Massachusetts, dismisses an editorial by the Boston Herald suggesting that an offshore LNG facility should replace the Everett LNG terminal because of a security breach in the area last week. She says that additional LNG terminals would only complement the Everett facility in order to meet rising consumer demand for natural gas, adding that the terminal has operated “safely and reliably for 35 years.” Her op-ed is available in today’s Boston Herald.
