Op-ed: California Needs LNG Facility to Provide Supply
The President of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce and the President of the Ventura County Taxpayers Association say that California needs additional supply of natural gas in order to sustain the state’s economic health. They assert that the construction of BHP Billiton’s Cabrillo Port LNG terminal could supply the state with 13 percent of its natural gas needs and failure to secure new supply could result in another energy crisis similar to the one California experienced in 2000-2001.
