Nova Scotia Energy Minister to Discuss Bear Head LNG Project With U.S. Venture Energy
Nova Scotia Energy Minister Bill Dooks yesterday said that he plans to meet soon with representatives from U.S. Venture Energy, a private investment firm that has agreed to purchase the Bear Head LNG project from Anadarko Petroleum. However, additional information about the group will not be revealed until “they finish climbing through all the documentation,” according to Paul Doucet, a spokesperson for Nova Scotia Business Inc., speaking on behalf of U.S. Venture Energy. Anadarko announced the $125 million deal on Monday; the project has been hindered by its lack of long-term supply arrangements. The Chronicle Herald has the story.
