Mexico Set to Receive First LNG Cargo
According to Mexico’s Energy Regulatory Commission, the Altamira terminal will soon receive the country’s first LNG shipment. However, the gas is likely to remain in storage until 2007 when the 1 Bcf/d facility commences delivery to Mexico’s state-owned power company, Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), which has contracted with terminal operator Shell for about half of the terminal’s capacity.
