G8 Leaders Issue Statement on LNG

In an effort to increase global energy security, the leaders of the G8 nations yesterday signed an agreement encouraging “appropriate investment conditions” to develop global LNG infrastructure.  Meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia, the leaders’ joint statement affirmed that the nations “shall take measures both nationally and internationally to facilitate investments into a sustainable global energy value chain to . . . develop global LNG markets.”  Today’s Global Investor has more details.  The full text of the statement is here
