The Providence Journal “strongly favor[s] LNG” and supports AES’ Battery Rock LNG proposal. However, the paper criticizes the inclusion of the necessary legislation in the “rush to finish the fiscal 2007 budget,” saying that the “budget becomes a cover for legislators’ doing in secret what they would have difficulty doing openly.”
