Wachovia Reports on Increased Send-Out from Elba Island LNG Terminal
Yesterday’s Platts LNG Daily reports that weak demand for LNG in Europe, increased U.S. power generation, and competitive natural gas prices in the United States have increased send-out from the Elba Island LNG terminal to levels higher than “initially” expected, according to a client memorandum released yesterday by Wachovia. On Tuesday, the facility operated at a send-out rate of 500,000 Mcf/d, and expects to receive a 2.6 Bcf shipment today.
