Dow Jones & Company reports on Statoil’s LNG imports to the United States. According to the Dow Jones article, carried by Energy Central Professional, Statoil Chief Executive Helge Lund says the company is looking for supply to bring to U.S. terminals, including potentially the Cove Point LNG terminal that yesterday received FERC approval to expand its capacity. Lund said that Statoil’s recent memorandum of understanding with Algeria’s Sonatrach, regarding the possibility of a joint venture, is “one of the elements” Statoil is considering.
