Progress on Mexican LNG Projects
Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is soliciting offers to build, operate and supply its proposed Manzanillo LNG terminal to be located on the Pacific coast. CFE plans to announce the winner in March 2007. Separately, a Tidelands subsidiary has been awarded a permit to start construction on parts of a gas transmission system that will serve its Dorado terminal proposed for 40.3 miles offshore Northeastern Mexico. Yesterday’s Platts LNG Daily features coverage on both developments. [Subscription required]
