The Calvert County Board of Commissioners praised the FERC’s decision to approve the Cove Point LNG terminal expansion, according to Friday’s PR Newswire. The expansion, which will nearly double the terminal’s LNG storage capacity, was described by the Board as “environmentally and operationally sound” and “key in providing new gas supplies to the mid-Atlantic region and Northeast.”
