Jordan Cove Gets Stake in Weyerhaeuser Sale
The World carried a story on June 10, regarding timber company Weyerhaeuser’s recent sale of land on Coos Bay’s North Spit in Oregon, which includes the site of Jordan Cove Energy’s proposed LNG import terminal, to the International Port of Coos Bay. The terminal developer has helped finance the port’s purchase of the 1,300 acres from Weyerhaeuser in exchange for a stake in the property. If the facility receives approval from FERC, Weyerhaeuser would have an option to reacquire a small parcel near the facility.
