FERC Issues Draft EIS for Calhoun LNG Project
FERC Staff has issued the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the 1 Bcf/d Calhoun LNG project proposed for Port Lavaca, Texas, concluding that the terminal and its associated pipeline would have “limited adverse environmental impact” if certain mitigation measures are followed. Calhoun LNG and Point Comfort Pipeline Company are developers of the joint venture, which is expected to start production in 2009 or 2010. The draft EIS is available in the FERC e-Library in Docket Nos. CP05-91 and CP05-380.
