Connecticut AG Criticizes Broadwater LNG Plan
Calling himself “one of the most staunch and vehement” opponents of the Broadwater LNG proposal, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal criticized federal agencies for “stifl[ing] public debate and discussion” by restricting access to safety and security information surrounding the project. Additional vessel traffic on the Long Island Sound and hurricane force winds may also pose safety threats to the facility, Blumenthal said at a Y’s Men meeting and during a discussion before area boating enthusiasts last week.
