Congressmen and DOE Meet on Regional Siting

New England congressional members today are meeting with DOE officials to discuss a regional approach to siting LNG facilities in the Northeast. The congressmen requested the meeting earlier this year in a letter signed by Democrats and Republicans from states where LNG terminals are proposed. U.S. Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) says that the meeting will not focus on opposition to Weaver’s Cove or other projects,but on the need to coordinate energy facility siting for the region.
