Uniform Transmission Rate Approved for SoCal Gas and SDG&E
The California Public Utilities Commission has approved a proposal that would create a uniform transmission rate for customers of Southern California Gas and San Diego Gas & Electric. The change will accommodate incoming gas from the Costa Azul LNG terminal in Baja California, which is expected to come online in 2008, and will lower gas transmission rates for SDG&E customers. The new Costa Azul supply will reverse the current flow from SoCal to SDG&E. Details are in yesterday’s Platts LNG Daily. [Subscription required]
