New Jersey Natural Gas Co. has met opposition from locals who oppose the utility’s plan to upgrade its 100-plus acre LNG storage facility in Howell, N.J. The proposed expansion would include the construction of three processed water heaters and a remote heat exchanger at the site. Some residents expressed safety and environmental concerns at a meeting last night before the town’s Planning Board. Today’s Asbury Park Press has the story.
