Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson reacted to the Senate Finance Committee’s unfavorable report on HB 927: “I think the decision is a travesty, particularly because the legislation was a local bill that had passed the House with widespread statewide support.” Johnson wants “to ensure that liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities are not placed in the county’s densely-populated neighborhoods or near critical transportation infrastructure.” Details are in The Gazette.
