BP Goes Forward With Review Process Despite Lawsuit

BP will continue to seek necessary permits for its proposed Crown Landing LNG facility despite the ongoing legal battle between New Jersey and Delaware over pier construction rights, according to the company’s LNG external affairs director Tom A. Mueller. “We’re continuing to work on the federal permits,” he said, adding that he expects FERC to issue the final EIS “in the next month or so.” However, FERC spokesperson Tamara Young-Allen has not confirmed a release date for the document. Mueller also noted that BP currently has “no other viable options on the table” for an alternative LNG terminal site. An article in Today’s Sunbeam has the details.
