Agencies and Organizations Using FERC Process to Comment on Maine Terminals
The Bangor Daily News reports on the variety of comments filed at FERC on the proposed Quoddy Bay and Downeast LNG terminals. Notably, the Maine State Planning Office suggests that FERC “evaluate a send-out pipeline that would accommodate the combined natural gas output of both projects to the Maritimes and [Northeast] Pipeline” to determine “whether a common send-out pipeline would result in a reduced environmental impact, as well as a reduction in property and land disturbance.” This and other filings may be found in the FERC e-Library in the Quoddy Bay and Downeast LNG Dockets, Nos. PF06-11 and PF06-13, respectively. [Access to archived articles requires a fee.]
