An opinion piece in yesterday’s Weymouth News says that Outer Brewster Island is a more appropriate location than Everett, Mass. for an LNG terminal because it is removed from densely populated areas and poses fewer safety risks. “We need an LNG facility,” said Steven McCloskey, a commentator for the newspaper. “Moving the LNG facility to Outer Brewster Island is a responsible and balanced approach that will satisfy both [safety and natural gas supply] concerns.” [This article is no longer available online.]
