Anadarko Slows Construction on LNG Terminal
Anadarko yesterday announced that construction on the Cape Breton LNG terminal in Nova Scotia will progress at a slower pace as it continues its efforts to find a supplier. “It is taking longer than we had initially anticipated,” said Lee Warren, the company’s spokesperson. “It is a very complex and competitive task.” However, an industry analyst with FirstEnergy Capital says competition has not prevented other developers from successfully securing supply. “I’m not saying it’s easy to find (LNG supply), but I think it’s a competitive enough market that you could be out there courting someone,” Mark Friesen said. Details are available in The National Post and in a Canadian Press article carried via The New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal.
